The U.S. Loves Danish Pallet Stacker

Despite tariff barriers, demand for the Danish-developed PALOMAT pallet stacker continues to grow across the United States.

“The U.S. loves our product. We have grown by 25 percent this year alone. Right now, more than 500 Palomats are operating in American industry. There is simply no local manufactured product that can match our pallet stacker in terms of price and efficiency when it comes to stacking and destacking pallets. It creates order in production and reduces workplace injuries,” says Majbritt Svane, Sales Director at Palomat.

PALOMAT® is sold through American automation companies such as IRIS Factory Automation, BTB Solutions, and Wolter, which collectively serve more than 25,000 industrial, construction, and commercial customers across 10 U.S. states. The pallet stacker communicates with autonomous forklifts and mobile robots and is available both as a component in complete production lines and as a standalone solution.

Demand for thousands of Palomats

“I see demand for thousands of Palomats across the U.S. market. Many American manufacturers are still handling pallets much the same way they did in the 1990s—with manual labor. That creates a significant risk of injuries, ranging from serious back problems to splinters. Palomat simply works. It requires virtually no maintenance and costs less than half the price of comparable local pallet magazines. On top of that, I’ve experienced first-class customer support from Denmark, which has become increasingly rare here in the U.S.,” says Kelly Shattuck, Automation Sales Engineer at Wolter.

The latest model, Palomat Greenline, further optimizes production because it can be quickly adjusted to accommodate different pallet heights. This enables companies to avoid significant costs associated with custom-built machinery and external programming services.
